Santo Antônio...
depois da Serra do Mar.
Santo Antônio,
antes era outro lugar.
Era a Terra dos barões,
do café, o ouro verde.
Da água cristalina,
onde se matou a sede.
Da noite que chegava
com a estrela da esperança.
Do sol que clareou
inspirando a confiança...
em um solo senhoril
depois de uma Serra em flor,
onde surge outra cidade
à luz da paz e do amor.
E um povo assim cantou:
luz, muita luz a brilhar,
nasceu Volta Redonda...
Depois da Serra do Mar.

St. Anthony...
after the Serra do Mar.
St. Anthony,
before was another place.
Was land of the barons,
of the coffee, the green gold.
Of the crystal clear water,
where ended the headquarters
Of the night that came
with the star of hope.
Of the sun that cleared,
the inspiring confidence...
in a lordly soil
after a Sierra in bloom,
where was born another city,
in the light of peace and love.
And so the people sang:
light, more light, bright light,
was born Volta Redonda ...
